The UMDA was established in September 2007, after the dispanding of the WLDA.
We hope for the UMDA to be as successful as our old association the WLDA.
We hope for it to be a great association for us and our troupes.
We hope for the association to go from strength to strength and get bigger and better as time goes on!
The UMDA is run by some of the former WLDA top table, Carol G, Carol H, Tommy, Jenny and Marge.
We have all had many years of morris dancing experience and enjoy our involvment in it so much we have decided to carry on a new organisation together now the WLDA has unfortunatly come to an end.
All of us on the top table have become very good friends over the years and are very happy in carrying on a new organistion together...We are all looking forward to our new season in 2008 and hope all of our troupes are!
The UMDA stands for United Morris Dancing Association...
We feel this name suits us really well and thats why it has been agreed by us and our new troupes.
Our name supports the meaning behind our association, We are united, Troupes and the top table alike! In our association we promote supporting other troupes and friendly competition.
